Snowy Days....

I have cabin fever. We have about a foot of snow
and ice and I haven't left the house in many days!
Ugh! My car is currently blocked in...thanks to
loads of white stuff falling from the sky AND
Brad shoveling the snow from his side of the
driveway onto mine...no fair....

The back deck has a 2+ foot snow drift and the
back yard is considerably deeper than the front.

Henry loves the snow. Mostly he just gets
frisky and runs around. Ben on the other hand
thinks the snow is way too bright and doesn't like
to look out the window right now....

1 month old...

Henry has been spending way too much time on his bed....
if we have a warm front I have vowed to take him for a walk
around the lake w/ baby and stroller. In the mean time,
he has to be content w his nightly laser light chasing
in the yard. Poor pup...

This is what a 1 month old baby looks like!!!! Awww!
Can you believe he is already so old? He is getting
more alert everyday.....making new faces.....holding
his head up higher and for longer periods of time....
eating like crazy!!!!!

Smiling in his sleep...I love that....

Pursing his big pouty lips...this is the beginning of his
modeling career...at least for the momma-razzi.....

1 week old!

We started the morning at the lactation consultant
on Ben's 1 week birthday (Saturday). Woo-hoo!
I got some practical insight re: decreasing painful
latches and some peace of mind that he is getting
plenty to eat w/ before and after feeding weigh-ins....
he took in more than 3 oz at that feeding despite
all the latch practicing and switchng him around!
Plus he weighed 7 lbs 2 oz BEFORE the feeding
which was his birth weight .

Ben's hairy big bro is feeling both jealous and
protective of his new pink little sibling.

Ben tried out a binkie but I decided it was a big pain in the butt....
it pops out of his mouth every 15 seconds which is way more
annoying than providing direct soothing!

The swing we borrowed from 'aunt'
Jenn on the other hand was a big hit!

Bath #2 was quick but fussy....except the hair
washing which is apparently his happy place!
