I am officially halfway through my second pregnancy. I am starting to feel a little more normal or, I suppose, as normal as one can feel while being pregnant. I have only thrown up once this week, I have gone for several walks, taken Ben to the Cincy Children's Museum, and even hosted friends for an evening of dinner and cards. I am feeling lots of tiny kicks and punches as baby girl performs her Olympic swimming routine.

Halfway!
Ben celebrated the halfway point today with toaster oven s'mores! They were a little sticky...

Surprise!
We had a surprise package on our doorstep today from Brad's cousin
Matt and his wife Chelsea! Our first baby girl items in the house! It made my day!
Matt and Chelsea were so thoughful that they also sent
Ben a big brother gift and he was so excited!
Thanks again, Matt and Chelsea! Love you all!

What Ben did on his summer vacation.....
We went to Anna Maria Island, Florida this summer
.....during tropical storm Debbie. The sun eventually came out and
the high winds and rain stopped. Rain or shine, Ben and his cousins had a great
time in each other's company.
Right after we came home from Florida, we headed to Memphis to visit Nana and Poppy (aka Brad's parents) and all of his other cousins and relatives. Ben went fishing for the first time with his dad and uncle Dale (and cousins Trey and Sophia) at Nana and Poppy's pond.
Dale's big catch!
We have had a great, though extremely hot, summer!
Looking forward to the adventures of the fall and cooler weather.

The Cathey family of 3 + one on the way
Hmm, so it's been a while. Ben is now 3 and a half.
Life is busy and time flies. Ben is full of energy and a complete joy to have around. He is so verbose and never fails to entertain us with his elaborate explanations of how the world works. He will always be my favorite boy in the world!
Our little family is growing. We found out in April that I am pregnant and
without any assistance. A surprise baby. A 'free' baby.
We are very excited to be expecting a baby girl who is due December 16th. I hope to start updating this blog on a regular basis again to keep all our family and friends 'in the loop'.
“May God grant you always...A sunbeam to warm
you, a moonbeam to charm you, a sheltering Angel so nothing can harm you.
Laughter to cheer you. Faithful friends near you. And whenever you pray, Heaven
to hear you.” -----Irish Blessing

And he's off!!! Place your Derby bets here!
In other news.....Ben has also learned to use his toy tool bag....don't sit still too long or he will check you for loose screws....
I apologize that my iphone takes TERRIBLE pictures....especially with a moving target!
